Library Book Sale

The first Heard Museum Library Book Sale was held in 1997 when a few people gathered some used books to raise money for special library projects.  It has grown to thousands of books sorted into more than 40 categories including many rare, out-of-print and loveable old books, as well as books on tape, videos, and CDs.  Most titles and priced $1 and up, paperbacks 50 cents.  In recent years, the Treasures Market has been added with art, artifacts, decorator items, jewelry, and dolls.

Funds raised by the sale benefit special projects of the museum’s Billie Jan Baguley Library and Archives.

This is one of the Guild’s three major annual events.
